Low Key
Pride can be like flood waters breaking through barricades. You may try to hold it back, but new holes constantly burst open revealing the strength and pressure of the pride of self. Pride isn't always arrogance. Pride can be subtle; preoccupation with one's self can be a master of disguise and deceit. The flood waters of pride can do incredible damage in our souls, in our relationships with others, and in relationship with God.
When Jesus said: "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS", I believe He was giving us the clearest picture of His chief attribute, His humility, and one of the most powerful weapons against sin.
As a follow up to "A Tale of Three Kings," we invite you to join us as we consider the great power of Christlike humility to break the great power of sin that creeps up in our lives.
