About Us

We aren't serious people, but we take loving people seriously.

Legacy Church has long been known for warmth, single-minded devotion to Jesus, community impact, global mission commitment, and a people and place where all people matter.

All people are wanted, welcome, and loved by God. Our response to that love is to share Gospel hope and speak Biblical truth to everyone, everywhere, all the time.

Legacy is deeply-connected with local mission partners, regularly supporting and serving partners globally in Uganda Mexico, and Canada. In addition, Legacy is honored to partner with church plants in Plano, Celina, and Montreal.

Our members are made up of a good balance of "head" and "heart".

Over 80% of our membership are active in a Lifegroup. They are generous givers, love the word of God, and desire to live by the manner & character of Christ.

We are comfortable with our church family, so we engage others with an abundance of warmth. Nothing we do is of our own strength, but we love to share what Jesus is doing through Legacy Church.

We have a high adult-to-kid ratio (around 3 adults to every 1 kid), with highly committed parents and volunteers.

Our church is made up of families living throughout Collin County, and centrally located in the heart of Plano, Texas.

Our Core Values

We help people find their identity in Jesus and their place in His mission to impact the world through the Gospel.

Our Mission

Culture Codes

Culture Codes remind us of Jesus and point us in the way to walk.

Pastoring > Presenting

Pastoring is manifested in God, modeled in Jesus, & motivated by love. We’re not influencers or content creators. We will build a culture of pastoring as we seek to know (& be known), lead, feed, gather & lay down our lives for others.
(John 10:1-16)

Being Humble >

Being Right

Jesus is the most-right person who walked the earth, yet, His story is of emptying Himself & regarding others needs as more important than His rights. When we embody the story of Jesus, we begin to look like Him. We will empty ourselves & value people & their needs above our rights & ideas.
(Philippians 2:1-13)

Presence > Preference

One of the most striking qualities about Jesus’ humanity is no matter who He interacted with, or what was on His agenda for the day, He was always fully present in every moment. His undivided attentiveness toward us will motivate our commitment to be fully present with Him, with the church, & with whomever God places in front of us.
(James 2:1-4)

Clarity = Kindness

Jesus said, “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen My Father who sent me.” His life & His lips brought clarity to the character & will of God, and our lives should do the same. We will be clear with one another and help others to see God’s presence & work among us.
(Ephesians 4:25-32)

Grace ≠ Compromise

The Bible says Jesus is “full of grace & full of truth,” not 50/50, but 100/100, with no compromise. In a world that is always at odds within itself, we will commit to share Jesus and not fight culture wars. When we need to stand up & speak out for truth in the midst of fallen society, we’ll do so in a manner that is unmistakably full of grace like Jesus.
(Matthew 7:1-14 &
Luke 7:36-50)
