Advanced Bible Study

As part of Legacy Church's commitment to our GROW purpose, we have partnered with B. H. Carroll Theological Institute to be a Teaching Church in their nexus of ministry. Dr. Wilkes joins other credentialed professors to provide Master's level training for vocational ministers and those who want to learn more about the Bible and Christian faith. You can view the current courses offered by the institute here.

The next class offered at Legacy Church will be The Letter to the Romans. This letter answers the question, "How are sinful people made right with Holy God?" The letter has inspired personal faith and began reformations that changed the world.

Dr. Wilkes, a Resident Fellow with BHCTI and who earned his Ph.D. in New Testament studies, will teach The Letter to the Romans at Legacy Church, Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 9:10, beginning January 12 through March 12, 2010. No prior knowledge of biblical studies is required.

You can apply as a student to a Master's degree here, or, you can apply to be a reader (to audit the course) here. The cost of the course is $40.00 for a reader plus the textbooks for the course, which you will find on the course webpage when you have applied. You can also register to complete a certificate of training for the course as part of our personal or church's training program.

Other courses which have been offered at Legacy are: The Gospel of Matthew, The Gospel of John, 1 Corinthians, Acts and the Letters of Paul, The General Letters and Revelation, Biblicial Interpretation, Pastoral Leadership, and Leadership in Ministry.
